AWARDS
American Concrete Institute (ACI) Structural Research Award 2001 for authored paper, “Cumulative Seismic Damage of Circular Bridge Columns: Variable Amplitude Tests’.
RESEARCH SUMMARY
- Experimental and analytical damage correlation of bridge piers subjected to random cyclic loading. The project was funded by N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and Technology, CALTRANS (California Department of Transportation), F.H.W.A. (Federal Highway Association), NCEER (National Center for Earthquake Engineering Research) and U.C.F. (University of Central Florida).
- Testing and modeling orthogonal reinforced concrete panels subjected to cyclic and reversed loading.
- Modeling out-of-plane forced vibration of continuous curved beams including warping effects.
